When I moved to San Francisco in 2009, I swore I was NEVER going to live in Seattle again. I was over it…the rain, gray skies, and passivity, in particular.
Well, never say never. A year to the day later, I moved back. What else could have brought me home but of course—LOVE! (It worked out, we’re married now.)
But that wasn’t the only love affair waiting for me. Because I gotta say, I have since fallen in love with Seattle. I don’t know what changed, but I’ve developed quite a soft spot for Jet City. There is extraordinary natural beauty, most of my favorite people are here, the politics are fairly progressive, and the summers are pretty enough that they redeem the wet, gray winters (for the most part…just don’t ask me about this in January).
When I saw an opportunity to submit a City Guide to online magazine Bad Yogi, I jumped at the chance.
